2017 Valentine’s Gift from Mom
I remember every year from 5th grade to sophomore year of high school my mom would bring a small Valentines gift to the office and they would bring flowers or a teddy bear to me while I was in class. She did the same with my younger sister and that made us feel special. I grew up in a single parent household and my mom was superwoman to me, still is. The fact that she did this every year made us feel like superstars. Thank you mom for showing me the love I’ve always deserved. As I get older I understand the different types of love that goes around. This love is a forever love, a motherly love I’ll never tire of. This Valentines there’s an emphasis on self love. Maybe I’ll buy myself some flowers and write a love letter to myself. The way you love yourself shows up in how others love you.
